Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts at Ahmedabad having jurisdiction.

Terms of sale, warranty and service

These are our standard terms for a solar system bought from GreenCube. The quotation and agreement you sign are what apply to your order; they print these terms too.

Price and validity

  1. Prices are shown before GST, with GST as a separate line and the total below it. GST is charged as per law on the date of the invoice.
  2. This quotation is valid for the number of days stated above. The final size may change by a few panels after the site survey; the price follows the installed size at the same rate.
  3. Charges paid to the DISCOM (application, meter, connectivity, testing, system strengthening) and to GEDA are as per their estimates and are paid by the customer; they are shown separately and are not part of GreenCube's price.

Payment

  1. Payments are due at each stage of the payment schedule above. Work moves to the next stage after the payment for that stage is received; if a payment is late, work pauses and the timeline moves by the same number of days.
  2. The advance covers document submission and registration and is not refundable once the application has been filed. Fees paid to the DISCOM or GEDA are not refundable.
  3. Amounts not paid by the due date carry interest at 18% per annum (1.5% per month) from the due date until paid.
  4. Pay only to the GreenCube bank account or UPI shown on this document, in the company's name. Cash is not accepted by site staff.

What the customer provides

  1. A shadow-free roof area and permission to anchor the structure on the terrace and walls.
  2. A safe place for the earthing pits without underground pipes or cables; where the area is paved, an opening at the agreed place. Earthing pits are finished in cement only.
  3. Wi-Fi near the inverter for monitoring, or the recharge of the monitoring SIM card.
  4. Stamp paper for the DISCOM agreement and the customer undertaking.

Included and extra

  1. The standard structure has 300 mm (1 ft) ground clearance. A raised structure is priced by height as shown.
  2. Up to 30 m of lightning-arrester earthing cable is included; a longer run is charged per metre.
  3. Any additional material or work asked for after the design is final, and any change after installation, is charged at actual cost.

Warranty

  1. Panels, inverter and other components carry the manufacturer's warranty shown in the bill of material, under the manufacturer's terms. Workmanship and the comprehensive maintenance contract (CMC) are as stated in this document.
  2. After the CMC period, warranty claims are made directly to the manufacturer unless an extended AMC is taken from GreenCube. GreenCube is not responsible if a manufacturer discontinues a product during the warranty.

Not covered by the warranty or CMC

  1. Opening, altering, moving or repairing any part of the system by anyone other than GreenCube; installing a cleaning system, welding or painting on the structure without GreenCube's written permission (these make the warranty and CMC void).
  2. Theft, vandalism, animals (for example monkeys), fire from outside sources, power surges from the grid or home wiring, lightning, storm, flood, earthquake and other events outside GreenCube's control.
  3. Broken cable ties and PVC saddles, and loss of generation from shade caused by new construction near the panels.

Comprehensive maintenance (CMC)

  1. The CMC starts on the date of meter installation and runs for the years stated, provided all payments under this quotation are made.
  2. Checks within the CMC are free when the system has Wi-Fi or SIM monitoring: first by phone and WhatsApp photos, then a visit if needed. Visits for items not covered are charged as per GreenCube's service price list.

Remote monitoring

  1. GreenCube sets up monitoring once, on the customer's Wi-Fi or a SIM. A later change of Wi-Fi name, password or provider is a chargeable visit.
  2. The monitoring app belongs to the inverter maker; GreenCube is not responsible if the maker changes or removes it.

Cleaning and safety

  1. Clean the panels twice a month with plain water, early in the morning (6:30-7:30 am) or after 6:30 pm, never on hot glass.
  2. During thunderstorms, cyclones and heavy rain, switch off the isolator and the DCDB / ACDB breakers and do not stand under the panels.

Complaints and service

  1. Raise a complaint on WhatsApp or by phone during office hours. GreenCube tries to solve it remotely first and books a visit if needed.
  2. GreenCube is responsible for the solar system only; electricity bills and the building's own wiring are matters for the DISCOM and the customer.

Disputes

  1. Any dispute is first raised in writing with GreenCube's management, who reply within 15 days. Disputes not settled this way are subject to the courts at Ahmedabad.
  2. GreenCube may suspend service visits if its staff or DISCOM staff are threatened or abused.

Every GreenCube system is installed by technicians trained at our group institute, GreenPower Training and Research Institute.
