Net metering in Gujarat
Net metering lets you export surplus solar units to the grid and get them adjusted in your electricity bill. Here is how it works with Gujarat DISCOMs.
How it works
A bi-directional net meter records units you import from the grid and units your solar plant exports. At billing time you pay only for the net units, according to your DISCOM's rules and the Gujarat solar policy in force.
Your DISCOM
| DISCOM | Main areas |

| Torrent Power | Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat city areas |
| UGVCL | North Gujarat: Mehsana, Patan, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, parts of Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad districts |
