FAQs

Questions we hear often

All FAQs
How much roof area do I need?

Roughly 7-8 square metres of shadow-free roof per kW. A 3 kW system needs about 22-25 square metres.

Who is eligible for PM Surya Ghar?

Residential consumers with their own electricity connection and a suitable roof. The subsidy applies to residential rooftop systems installed through a registered vendor, with amounts as notified on the national portal.

Will solar work during a power cut?

A standard on-grid system shuts down during a grid outage for safety. If you need backup, ask about our solar + battery systems.

How long does installation take?

Installation itself usually takes one to three days for a home. The full process, including approvals and the net meter, depends on your DISCOM's timelines.

Can I pay in EMIs?

Yes. We can help you apply for a solar loan through partner banks and NBFCs. See our finance page for details.
